Design for the Environment (DfE)
Looking at your product from a DfE perspective involves looking at the full stages of your products life cycle from the raw material extracted to the end-of-life disassembly and breakdown of its components. The key aspect that drives DfE is about designing your product so that its composition and functions have the minimum possible impact on the environment.
DfE Solution
GEMS enables you to meet existing DfE standards (e.g. EPEAT). It interfaces with the Bill of Materials of all your products and integrates other information required to measure your products impact using a variety of tools. GEMS can model “what if” scenarios to allow you to visualise the impact of any proposed design changes.
